KILLER ON THE ROAD

"Killer? Not quite."

submission: KILLER ON THE ROAD
date: December 12, 2009

Well, I get that your skills weren't as developed back then, so I'll rate objectively by what I see.
The music made the feelings much more intense in this animation.
Love her hair swooshing when she looks back in her car, that's one really good trick with how she moved her head.
Neat part with the flashbacks as well. Something typical of someone who's about to die, eh?

However, this one was a tad short and not very well developed plot-wise.

The first classical track gave me goosebumps, yo.
You chose some beautiful music.
Not sure which track was Ennio Morricone's, though.

I absolutely loved the graphic work with the floating blood drops and the blood flowing against the wind while the boy was still on top of the bird.
Also, the depth of field was great. It was a very realistic feeling.

Great job, X.

Across The Universe

"Goddamn beautiful."

date: December 12, 2009

I can totally see how this is across the universe. Not just because of The Beatles song.
First of all, I wrote down the little graphic tricks I liked along the animation:
- how the roof broke and how he moved through it
- the way he was kind of 'rolling' on his way to the roof
- how the cross built up of blocks
- the x wound growing
- his hair's motion as he stood on the train
- the yellow color as he fell into the water, it's so eerie
- and the blue as the bubbles escape his mouth

Now, the song was absolutely beautiful and fit the animation in every way (although at first I didn't realize it when he sang about sleeping forever). What song is it and by whom?

The symbolic imagery was great, I'm glad Crartonis elaborated on some of it, it's helpful.
To be honest, I did not expect the ending at all, and it was beautiful, and I was taken aback.
I should have found this loooong ago.
Respect.

GALAPAGOS

"Why haven't I found this earlier?"

submission: GALAPAGOS
date: December 12, 2009

It would seem like a lot of effort to make the wing motion in this animation.
I loved all the bright colors, underwater, in the sunset, of all the inhabitants of the island. It's a nice, quaint story.

I loved the music in it, but you don't give more than the artists' names. Could you please tell me the songs' names?

Zhip

"Good potential."

submission: Zhip
date: November 24, 2009

This game has a good potential, you got the basics and the decent graphics, but you'll need to make some improvements for it to ever have a score over 3.00.
First of all, add the loader scene.
Second, insert quick instructions as of what the cubes are for and what the big ships are.
Some sound effects for shooting and being hit and acquiring cubes would be great.
Make several levels. Maybe distinguish the player's ship in color from the rest of the background.

This is just some advice. I gave the submission a passing score, good luck.

"this is lolling material"

You know how they say at various ceremonies to hold applause till the end?
I LOL'D HARD... as the credits rolled. This was so quick and witty, I can't really say too much. Nice credit song as well.

This is an absolutely brilliant game! Very creative, I have never seen this before. Loved the tune you picked out, it doesn't sound annoying or repetitive.
The storyline is very interesting, I like the style of the illustrations in the background. Grrrrreat!

Chopped!

"It's decent, but incomplete."

submission: Chopped!
date: November 11, 2009

This game can be completed within seconds and only has one level; its simplicity will quickly kill off its popularity. You should work on adding more levels of difficulty, maybe adding a choice of music/no music to play, and get more of a variety of food to chop that can be easily confused by color, etc.
It's a good start, but this is only basics.

I really like that it's silent, but we understand the messages conveyed without words. Nice style and silhouettes. This is potentially good.
